Welcome to the Blades Athletic Scholarship Foundation (BASF) —where we believe in empowering young athletes to achieve their athletic dreams. Our mission is to provide financial support to all local athletes, enabling them to pursue their athletic journey without financial barriers. By fostering excellence in athletics, we strive to create opportunities for the next generation of leaders, athletes, and scholars. Through our scholarships, we are committed to making sports accessible to all, helping young athletes unlock their full potential and succeed.
Blades Athletic Scholarship Foundation was established July, 2022. We are a state registered non-profit organization branched from BladesAPA.
Our Mission:
Provide Scholarships to young athletes in need of financial assistance.
Our Process:
Application, essay from athlete, Foundation review, scholarship awarded.
Our Goal:
Financial assistance and empowerment of young athletes to assist in the accomplishment of their athletic dreams.

Denise Romer, President
A true passion for philanthropy, Denise has her hands in many local charities and organizations. A lover of sports and huge supporter of youth athletics, Denise was one of the founders of Blades Athletic Scholarship Foundation. Her consistent push to better our community is something to be idolized. Owner of Columbia Falls Estate Planning and Zoomie Dog Bus, you can find her rooting on Oklahoma football in her free time!

Nathan Boone, Vice President
A born & raised Flathead Valley native, Nathan truly wants to see his hometown thrive and offer programs that weren’t available to him growing up here. An all-state and state champion soccer player, he has continued to be involved in sports at a professional level entering in the ranks as a referee. Nathan works for Korn Ferry in the Executive Search department in Salt Lake City. His dog Blue along with his berry bowl business keep him busy.

Andrew Nomoto, Treasurer
A frequent visitor to NW Montana, Andrew grew up in Pasadena, California, and attended St. Olaf College, Majoring in Economics with Minors in Finance and Management. Andrew was a 4 year starter and a Captain his Senior year for the Oles. His passion for baseball and all sports is unwavering, specifically his Lakers and Dodgers, of course. He now lives in the Twin Cities, working in Finance. He spends his free time attending sports games, skiing, and golfing.
